In DXOMARK’s display test, Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra grabbed the top spot. It outperformed the iPhone 15 Pro Max and Google Pixel 8 Pro, competitors in terms of performance. Furthermore, the South Korean brand’s most recent flagship features a better screen than its predecessor. DXOMARK evaluated the S24 Ultra on a wide range of display-related tests.
As per the benchmarking platform, it evaluates the findings of various objective and perceptual tests in both controlled laboratory and real-world settings.

With scoring of 155 points, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra claims the top spot global in the DXOMARK leaderboard. Only with one point less Google’s Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro claims second and third spot. The iPhone 15 Pro Max, which is a competitor of the S24 Ultra, is a little behind at position seven with 149 points. The Galaxy S23 Ultra which was launched last year is farther behind, coming in at number twelve, which demonstrates how far Samsung has advanced in the latest flagship’s display.
As reported by DXOMARK, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra’s advertised peak brightness of 2,600 nits allows it to be suitable for reading in sunlight. It scored 161 readability points for this, which is just one point less than the Pixel 8 Pro. Furthermore, Corning’s latest version of Gorilla Armor, which is claimed to decrease reflections by up to 75%, is equipped on the phone’s screen. In order to read the contents on the display under sunlight, the user doesn’t have to find shade or cover the screen with their hand. However, the screen brightness fluctuated under various conditions according to the benchmark’s testing results. In indoor locations, the brightness was too low and too high at night. While watching a video in low light, there was also high brightness.
It is alleged that the phone can cope with frame rate variations and render colors precisely.
